My approach to script consulting involves taking clients "under
my wing," my sole purpose being to help them be the very best screenwriters
they can be and to manifest the scripts they have always dreamed of writing.
My Highest Aim is to assist screenwriters rewrite their screenplays,
improving their scripts to the point where they are of a "studio-level"
quality, which will engage studio execs, producers, agents, managers, film
investors, etc., and are commercially viable and readily marketable.
DcH's Experience: I have been a story analyst and script consultant
for Hearst Entertainment Productions in Los Angeles, and worked with other
producers, agents, managers, and many private clients, many of whom have
achieved their objectives such as having their screenplays produced and
sought by film producers, securing agents, and winning standings in screenwriting
competitions.
Published Writer: My views on screenwriting and the film business
(which always include a note of humor) can be found in "Writers' Wonderful
Web" by Suzanne Harris (Publish America).
Services: (*feel free to click on any links for screenwriting assistance)
My Services include assisted rewrite, studio-level coverages, development
notes, page-by-page script notes, synopses, treatments, log-lines, tag-lines,
script formatting, sales coverages, idea-to-script, phone conferencing,
weekly Screenwriting Help E-mail questions answered (with a note of humor),
and a Weekly Cartoon by DcH.
FEES AND MY PROCESS, WORKING WITH YOU:
You can find my basic fees at my website, but, because every script is unique,
my approach is to, first, read your script and assess what needs
to be done to improve your screenplay. Once we agree on a fee, we can be
in close contact throughout the project via e-mail or phone.
Because I am a "thoroughist," know that you will forever have
my best.
