Lynne Pembroke has been a screenplay/TV script analyst for the past eighteen
years, getting her start in 1986 as an Assistant to the Director of Creative
Affairs at Stephen Cannell Productions. Included in her experience is work
as an analyst/editor for an Emmy Award winning Children's Animation TV Producer/Writer.
In 1990, she branched out and started her own screenplay/script analysis
company, Coverscript. Her industry clients include studios, among them,
The Walt Disney Studios and ABC TV Entertainment along with various independent
producers and agents. As well as being a judge for several prestigious screenplay
competitions and writer's fellowship programs. Lynne has also written TV
game show material and has several poems and a humor/fantasy novel among
her published credits.
After using Lynne's service her individual screenwriting clients have had
many successes. Among the most recent is the second place winner in the
2002 Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Contest, who since has had many producers
knocking at his door. And another writer who received an offer for a 30
day exclusive option from a producer the first week of marketing his screenplay.
Many screenplays are written. Of those, few are sold and even less are
produced. Therefore it behooves the writer to create his/her best effort
before leaving the starting gate. It is very important to have the basics
of screenwriting under one's belt -- formatting, characters, dialogue, structure,
story line, plotting - before submitting a screenplay for industry consideration.
Coverscript is here to help in all those areas, and more, thereby increasing
the writer's chances of receiving a Consider or Recommend rating from an
agent, producer, screenplay contest or studio reader - the first hurdle
the screenwriter will face.
Lynne's Script Analysis Service covers the above elements, letting the
writer know what is good about their screenplay as well as what areas need
improvement and suggestions on how to improve them. The rates for this service
are very reasonable. The reason for this is twofold: Lynne loves what she
does and her motivation is to nurture the writer's talent to see him/her
succeed.

ENDORSEMENTS
"I knew I needed help from a professional script analyst, but I didn't
want "just anybody" to play such an important part in the development
of my work. I had five screenplays that needed coverage and notes. Establishing
the relationship was as simple as clicking onto Lynne's URL.
"Lynne's comments were so cogent and pertinent that they could not
be ignored and I can honestly say that being introduced to her is the best
thing that's ever happened to my writing. Without her help, my scripts would
never have attracted the kind of response they did; one optioned, another
exclusively represented by a WGA Agent, and one being developed by a manager/producer.
"Her complete honesty is tempered by the gentle care she communicates
while targeting specific problems and offering specific solutions. I highly
recommend Lynne to anyone serious about moving to the next step in this
business."
-- G.F., Valencia, California.
"Lynne Pembroke was worth every dime. Her comments were direct, insightful
and most importantly, useful. My latest script just took second place in
the 2002 Scriptapalooza screenwriting competition. That wouldn't have happened
without Lynne."
-- M.P., Westlake Village, CA.
"I would absolutely rate her analytical ability and judgment as 5
out of 5."
-- L. J., Director, Venice Arts Screenwriting Competition.
"As Director of the program before my recent retirement, I can vouch
for Lynne's excellent coverage. As a reader with the Program since its inception
in 1990 Lynne lived up to her reputation. Lynne's enthusiasm and obvious
love of the work, coupled with her efficient ability to handle volumes of
scripts without sacrificing insight and critical analysis, made her a very
valuable asset to our Program." -- S. L., Former Director, The Walt
Disney and ABC Entertainment Writing Fellowship Program And Former Vice
President, ABC Current Comedy Series.
"We use Lynne as one of our readers and have found her coverage to
be fast yet thorough, concise, offers excellent suggestions regarding possible
rewrites, and she has a keen eye for catching anomalies most other readers
never recognize. We recommend Lynne Pembroke with no reservations and anyone
using her services will not be disappointed." -- C. B., President,
C D B Literary Company.
"First of all, your feedback made all the difference to our screenplay.
We went through and completely revised it and sent it along to an agent
in NYC who had read the earlier version. He said Somewhere between
that first version and this one you learned how to write a screenplay I
gave credit where credit was due. He's now representing it, with great enthusiasm,
thanks to you." --B.F., Santa Cruz, CA.
