Specializing in combining the art and business of entertainment
For nearly fifteen years I've worked as a development executive, producer,
story analyst and script consultant, gaining insider information from the
producers point of view of what makes a script work. My producing credits
include cable movies like "Kings of South Beach" to television
movies like "Three Secrets," as well as an independent feature.
I've developed scripts for Sean Connery, Kevin Costner, Chris Klein and
others. I've also worked with award winning writers like Bill Nicholson
and Bob Inman, learning from truly great writers how to give practical,
effective, concise notes to improve the script, not just change it.
What makes my experience unique is that I've shepherded films from the pitch
to the completed movie. I know how to make a script great and what it takes
to sell it to movie executives, talent and directors. After all, the point
isn't just to write a great script, it's to make a great movie.
Working with you one on one to sharpen your script is just one of the services
I offer. After being a part of hundreds of network and studio pitches, I
can guide you through the process until you have a pitch that is polished
and professional. Effective loglines and a thoughtful synopsis that's ready
to be used as a sales tool are also part of the wide array of choices available
at TheScriptFixer.com to help you get your project off the ground.
My rates are reasonable but I'm so certain I can help you improve your
script that I'm offering a discounted price of just $250 for your first
set of script notes and unlimited e-mail contact and feedback for
InkTip users. Please check out my website, TheScriptFixer.com,
for a complete listing of prices and available services.
I also have a blog, http://thescriptfixer.blogspot.com,
where you can read my blog entries and user comments as well as ask any
questions that are weighing on your mind. Additionally, you can check out
my profile on www.variety.com
to read what my co-workers and clients have to say about my abilities.
Don't let another contest deadline or networking connection slip by, call
or e-mail today and arrange for an immediate appointment. You only get one
shot with your script so make sure it's the absolute best it can be!
RECOMMENDED READING: For anyone just starting out, as trite as it might
sound Syd Field is an absolute must read. You can't break the rules until
you understand them. Linda Seger also has an excellent book out there. But
more than reading books, I highly recommend you join a writer's group. Whether
it's on-line or in person, the experience of getting and receiving feedback
will improve your writing and your career by leaps and bounds.
