Director Amir Valinia says he identifies with the main character now more than ever since his own girlfriend passed away in a tragic accident just two weeks before principal photography. "Flashes" is being shot partly on a grant from the city of Houston, it's the 25th feature film to go into production this year from an InkTip script, and it's also Andrew Henderson's first option through InkTip.
