Film Central Florida supports film, TV, commercial productions and still photography.  Our staff will assist you in processing your permits to make your filming and production easy in Central Florida's Polk County.

Charlotte Harbor Florida Film Office

Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf Islands, on the Southwest Gulf Coast of Florida in Charlotte County, is a slice of purely natural Florida. The harbor, the second largest in the state, has almost 100 miles of natural shoreline. Punta Gorda, a picturesque small town of 16,000, sits on its southern bank. In the western part of the county, 28 miles of white sand beaches line the Gulf side of several barrier islands. No building in the county is taller than five stories, giving a definite "old Florida" vibe to many parts of the county. Inland, there are wetlands and Cypress Swamps. Features produced in the county include Out of Time and Hoot.

Film Florida
Film Florida is a not-for-profit entertainment production trade association that provides a leadership role in Florida's film, TV, & digital media industry by representing a coalition of interests, including private industry, local film commissions, industry associations, educational institutions and labor organizations. Its purpose is to offer to businesses and individuals the benefits of a statewide trade association to promote the creation of jobs in the film and entertainment production industries and to promote economic development and tourism.
Film North Florida
Film North Florida is the official website of the Film Liaison of Escambia County and is part of the tourism and visitors bureau.
Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward Office of Film, Music & Entertainment

We are pleased to provide professional assistance to production companies that are interested in, or have chosen, Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County for a project.

Our services include:

  • Assistance in obtaining permits where needed. Film permits are required for production projects on public property in Broward County. There is no fee for Broward film permits. Depending upon the scope of the project, specific permits may be necessary, such as: tent, pyrotechnic, firearm, or environmental. A Certificate of Insurance which additionally insures the municipality in which you choose to work is also required.

Jacksonville Film Commission
The Film & Television Office assists local and visiting productions with facilitating permits, provides preliminary location scouting and engages the local workforce and vendor resources.
Martin County Film & Television Commission
The Martin County Film Office is an adjunct of the County's Administration Department and Tourism and Marketing Office. Our purpose is to provide quick turnaround permitting for use of County-owned lands, properties, and beaches. There are no fees for our services; however liability insurance coverage extension is required.
Miami/Dade County Office of Film & Entertainment
Filmiami is cooperation between the two Greater Miami Film Offices: Miami-Dade County and Miami Beach, as well as, several County municipalities to offer a one-stop film/photo permitting system.
Orlando Film Commission

The Orlando region covers Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties and the City of Orlando, extending over 4,012 square miles. Pensacola Film Office

Sarasota County Film & Entertainment Office
Sarasota County is a fabulous place on the gorgeous west side of the state (Florida's Fresh Face), along the Gulf of Mexico, with three cities, one town, five barrier islands, and many beaches (including some voted as having the softest/whitest sugar sand in the world), great accommodations (from the VIP lodging at the Ritz-Carlton to the below the line budget-minded), outstanding fine dining to bar food extraordinaire, and looks from urban to rural and most everything in between.

St. Petersburg-Clearwater Area Film Commission
The St. Pete/Clearwater Film Commission serves Pinellas County, Florida from Tarpon Springs to Fort De Soto Park, from Dunedin to Safety Harbor, Oldsmar to St. Pete Beach. Thousands of commercials, TV shows, feature films and digital media projects have filmed here.

St. Pete/Clearwater is part of the greater Tampa Bay production center, thus offering the wide resources of a metropolitan region as well as the amenities of a close community.

The film commission participates in direct marketing and trade missions at major film markets, festivals and tradeshows in North America and Internationally. Film SPC supports local signature Film Festivals. These events showcase the area to out-of-town Producers and Filmmakers helping to bring new production to the area. Additionally these events are a major tourism draw for the St. Pete Clearwater area.
Film SPC fosters industry development with free workshops, an online production guide and location database. The Film Commission is focused on creating Branded Digital Media Content and Industry Development of in-Destination Digital Media Content for YouTube, Vimeo, Hulu, Amazon, and other digital platforms.
All productions needing a permit can easily apply online at our website. Film SPC helps productions find locations, crew and all needed support services.

Film SPC has a local film incentive program. Film, TV, digital media, music videos and more are eligible for the development marketing partnerships. The goal of the incentive is to provide exclusive destination exposure for St. Pete/Clearwater as an area with a growing reputation for filmmaking and television programming, great locations, and excellent crew and equipment resources. Without a State Film Incentive Program, the focus is on Feature Films under $1 million, Digital Projects, Web series and high profile Music Videos. Larger film budgets can benefit by shooting a portion of the film in the area and still receive the incentive.

St. Petersburg Clearwater is a blue-sky, sun-drenched getaway home to 35 miles of white sand beaches, including TripAdvisor's No. 1 Beach in 2016. Off the beach is St. Pete, named one of the Top 52 Places to Visit in 2014 by The New York Times---in large part because of its world-class art scene, which features the acclaimed Dali Museum and Chihuly Collection.
Tampa Hillsborough Film Commission
Tampa/Hillsborough County offers among the most diverse filming locations in the state of Florida.
Team Volusia Economic Development Corporation
Volusia County and its municipalities utilize Team Volusia Economic Development Corporation for all inquiries for motion and still photography in Volusia County.
