Come be a part of history as we hold our 1st annual short film festival! The Everybody Digital Film Festival is dedicated to shining the spotlight on high quality short films and the creativity, passion, and hard work that goes into each and every project but is so often overlooked and under appreciated. We are excited to hold screenings for our first festivall at the beautiful Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, New York and it is our mission to provide an atmosphere that gives filmmakers all of the recognition they deserve as well as opportunities to learn, grow and connect with others in the film community.

Background:

The Everybody Digital Film Festival is an extension of the Everybody Digital app created by actor/writer/director Allen Maldonado ("The Last O.G.", "Black-ish", "Survivor's Remorse"). The app was created to help promote short form films and series and to give filmmakers another organized platform to showcase all of the hard work they put into writing, shooting and completing their short films.

The Everybody Digital Film Festival was created to further promote and celebrate filmmakers and to provide them with a big screen and a live event for friends, family and fellow filmmakers and film enthusiasts to enjoy and appreciate their work.

Short films 20 minutes or less are being accepted along with webseries pilots of any genre. Awards will be given for the following:

Best Short Film Overall

VISIONFEST is currently accepting short and feature length submissions for consideration in the following categories: Narrative, Documentary, Experimental, Animation, Web Series Pilot, Music Video, Proof of Concept Trailers. Projects of any genre may be submitted, 1-45 minutes for shorts; 45 minutes and longer for feature length works in the film competition. All selected films are eligible for awards, which include cash, Commemorative statuettes or certificates, and sponsored prizes (i.e. goods/services from supporting sponsors of the event).

10th NEW MEDIA FILM FESTIVAL
Los Angeles, California - USA
June 1-2, 2019
In the Spotlight today is the 10th Annual New Media Film Festival, producing a cutting-edge, fair, upscale festival devoted to upcoming and seasoned content creators. More than 20 competitive categories are now open that collectively celebrate a broad spectrum of storytelling – podcasts, web series, tablet media, virtual reality, augmented reality, drone, 3D, and many more. Huffington Post aptly describes the festival, "Makes the cutting edge accessible."

In 2018 the Festival screened 110 projects from 40 countries with 34 World Premieres, 7 US Premieres, and 24 Los Angeles Premieres. As noted by SAG & Golden Globe Winner Matthew Modine, "New technologies have empowered and enabled creators outside of a studio or network system to make their own movies and develop cutting edge entertainment. Affordable cameras and editing software allow artists to create and express their skills for a multitude of new distribution platforms. We are presently witness to how storytelling is being redefined in the 21st Century. New Media Film Festival highlights and showcases what will come next." The festival extends its forward thinking to promote a positive future and proudly honors luminaries with its Socially Responsible Conservationist Award. In 2018 the award went to Jeff Bridges.

Judges at the New Media Film Festival include representatives from HBO, Marvel, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Television Academy, and other pioneers in the entertainment industry. There's even a competitive category for Sniplers, 30-second mini-trailers featured to garner attention for films not yet made. Filmmakers vie for a chance at $45,000 USD value in services and prizes. The festival also offers further screening opportunities to winning works on New Media 2D and 3D channels and other distribution opportunities.
