When a film or publishing insider reads your material, you want their response
to be WOW!
Unlike a baseball game, when you get up to bat with your script, the competition
is so great that you only get one swing to hit a home run. Just one strike,
and you're out!
Your family and friends may think your script is terrific, and it might
be. However, they probably don't have the knowledge or keen eye of an experienced,
industry professional who has worked for decades in the film industry. Whether
you are a first-time hopeful or a seasoned, produced or published writer,
you will benefit greatly from the input of an industry insider who has a
long and winning record of working with writers to develop their material
and maximize their opportunities for success. What you need is help to hone
your project into a highly professional, well-executed, "polished-to-perfection"…
WOW!
I'm here to help you hit that home run.

I earned a B.A. Degree in English Literature and a teaching credential
from Montclair University, and taught high school English. Subsequently,
I furthered my education at UCLA where I received additional academic credits
in film and creative writing.
Early in my professional career, I assisted a number of top production
and development executives at Paramount Pictures and in a short span of
time became a development executive in the television divisions of Paramount
and later Universal. Following my studio years, I founded and operated for
twenty years, Stephanie Rogers & Associates, a literary agency, representing
writers, directors and producers. In 2000, the agency was re-structured
to a management and film consulting firm. Over the years as an agent, my
clients have developed, written, directed, produced and worked on countless
theatrical, cable and television motion pictures, cable and TV series and
TV specials for which a number of them have received and been nominated
for Oscars, Emmys, Writers Guild, Image , the Humanitas, Western Spur and
Tony Awards.
I have also lectured on screenwriting, marketing of scripts and the business
end of writing for films and TV at USC Film School, UCLA, Cal State Northridge,
Moorpark College and Ventura County Writers' Association.

"Stephanie has been my critical eye for eighteen years now, the most
savvy story person I know. She is part critic, part teacher, part saint,
I swear. More than once, as she wades through something of mine, I feel
I have a skilled writing partner working out there to find the holes, putting
her finger on the critical faults or vagaries whether it be of character,
plot-line or theme. The big stuff, the details. Especially the details.
Always coming up with possible solutions I would never have thought of in
a year. And, aware all the while of the realities in a fast evolving marketplace."
