Bob Willems Options "The Silent Type" Dec 29, 2011
Bob Willems with Champion Entertainment discovered "The Silent Type" on InkTip and optioned it from writer Eric Wehr. Willems's credits include the recent "Renfield The Undead." Writer Eric Wehr has written and produced a few short films on his own, as well as a feature length documentary for a non-profit organization, but this is his first feature option through InkTip.
Derek Zemrak Hires John Pizzo Dec 29, 2011
Derek Zemrak and Leonard Pirkle of Zemrak/Pirkle Productions found writer John Pizzo on InkTip and hired him to write the sequel to "Hercules Saves Christmas." The film is scheduled to go into production at the end of January. As highlighted in the InkTip Magazine's last cover story, Derek found John's family dog script through InkTip and produced the feature, which premiered to high ratings on Animal Planet. Due to the successful ratings, Derek hired John to write the sequel. Derek also produced the 2007 feature "Fallen Angels," which starred Michael Dorn (Star Trek: TNG), Bill Moseley and Adrianne Curry, the first winner of "America's Next Top Model." Writer John Pizzo is now a three-time produced writer - with all three scripts found through InkTip. He has a feature in development with William Forsythe and Daniel Baldwin attached. With the amount of family audiences tuned into the first "Hercules" film, we look forward to Derek and John's successful follow-up.
Chuck Howard & Brad Allen Option "Lukewarm" Dec 29, 2011
Chuck Howard & Brad Allen with All Entertainment discovered "Lukewarm" on InkTip and optioned it from the writers Sean Stearley and Chris Miller. And we're now happy to announce that the feature film has been shot and is now in post-production. It was directed by Thomas Makowski, with John Schneider (Bo Duke of "Dukes of Hazzard" fame) in the lead role, and scheduled to air on the Gospel Music Channel in 2012. Writers Sean and Chris have both written and directed features before, independently of each other, and have since teamed up to write a slew of new faith-based projects together.

Andrea Olabarria with Spoon Entertainment discovered Jeremy Rigby through InkTip and hired him to develop a reality series. Based in Florida, Andrea directed the 2009 feature "Rough Winds." Jeremy also has two feature projects in development: "The Heart of a Spy" and 'The Ivanov Experiment." This is his first assignment through InkTip.
Arslan Baig Options "Sunny Afternoon" Dec 29, 2011
Arslan Baig optioned the short script "Sunny Afternoon" from writer Genevieve Sipperley after finding it on InkTip. Arslan is a Media Science and Filmmaking student in Pakistan who has made two horror shorts: "Invasion of a Psychopath" and "He Who Wears a Mask". He won a "Best Direction" award for "Invasion of a Psychopath" earlier this year. Interestingly, Genevieve's script works as a sequel for the story of "He Who Wears a Mask." The film is scheduled to shoot in the near future.
Samuel Benavides Options "Carnival" Dec 22, 2011
Samuel Benavides with IsoFilms, Pictures & Productions, Inc. found "The Carnival Horror Show" through InkTip and optioned it from writer Jared Cohn. Samuel won the Best Director award at the Action on Film Festival for his short "Mansfield Path," which aired on Shorts TV, Sundance Channel and Flix Network. Jared wrote and directed the feature "Born Bad," which is currently airing on Lifetime. He also wrote the script "Traced," which landed him representation with manager Erik Heintz of HG Management.
David Ara Hires Lynn Grant Beck Dec 22, 2011
David Ara with Miracle Mile Entertainment discovered Lynn Grant Beck on InkTip and hired her to write his script "Hollywood Hit." David, with his producing partner Georgia Hilton of Hilton Media Management LLC, recently signed a distribution deal for "Hollywood Hit" with Freestyle Releasing (distributors of "The Illusionist" starring Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti, and Jessica Beil, among many others) based on the strength of the script alone. And we're now excited to announce that they're in the process of looking for an A-list director and talent to attach. Since signing with Freestyle, David and Georgia have upped their budget from $5 million to $20 million. Lynn Grant Beck, a published and produced author, playwright and screenwriter, was thrilled to be working with David, and we here at InkTip are really looking forward to seeing "Hollywood Hit" in theaters.
Greig Buckle Options "House of Darkness" Dec 22, 2011
Greig Buckle with Enigma Pictures optioned "House of Darkness" from writer Marc Bloom after finding it on InkTip. Greig recently co-produced the South African feature "Life, Above All." Marc is a produced TV writer based out of South Africa, and this is his fourth option through InkTip. This script was also instrumental in landing Marc representation with current manager Damon Lane of Zero Gravity Management.
Samuel Laseke Options "Interrogation" Dec 22, 2011
Samuel Laseke optioned and produced the short script "Interrogation," written by Zachary Jansen, which he found on InkTip. This is the second short sale through InkTip for Zachary. He previously sold "Treading Water" this spring. "Interrogation" was an Honorable Mention in the October 2010 MoviePoet.com short screenplay contest. Samuel Laseke was impressed with the script, and Zachary was equally impressed with Samuel's previous films. Samuel has optioned a number of shorts from the site after discovering the wealth of talented writers listed on InkTip.

Rob Heydon discovered "Honour Bound" on InkTip and optioned it from writer Shawn Whitney. Heydon's credits include "Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy," which was based on the book by the author of "Trainspotting," and which will be released in the U.S .in 2012, as well as the upcoming "Deadlocked," a BBC/Lionsgate co-pro with Helen Mirren attached in the lead role. Shawn Whitney, an executive story consultant for a Montreal-based production company, wrote the soon-to-be-released MOW "Fatal Performance," and he has a number of other films underway, but this is his first option through InkTip.
Joseph Nasser Hires Evan Jacobs Dec 15, 2011
Joseph Nasser with the Nasser Entertainment Group met Evan Jacobs through InkTip and hired him to write an untitled feature thriller. This isn't their first project together; Nasser's credits include "Dawn Rider," onto which Evan Jacobs was hired as a creative consultant and which is filming now with Donald Sutherland and Christian Slater in the lead roles, and "Knockout," starring WWE legend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, which was shot from the Evan Jacobs script which Nasser originally discovered on InkTip. According to Joe Nasser, who has produced over forty feature films, Evan Jacobs is "one of the best writers I have ever worked with."

Tim's recent credits include "My Run," the ten-time award-winning documentary about a real-life Forrest Gump who ran 75 marathons in 75 days. This latest project, "The Life of Grey," will be produced in partnership with Greytone Entertainment. Eleanor Burgess got her start as a playwright, and her work has been performed on both sides of the Atlantic, but this is her first feature screenwriting success.

The script is actually an adaption of Jim Brown's book "Tim's Big Decision," published in 2001, about a young man trying to find his way in professional baseball, maintain his religious integrity, and somehow find time for his beautiful girlfriend. Maritza picked it up as part of a slate of Movies of the Week for OlympuSAT cable television outlets, to be produced simultaneously in English and Spanish. Strath and wife Marcy Levitas Hamilton co-founded TriCoast Studios twenty-five years ago and have produced over twenty films. Funding is through their distribution arm, TriCoast Worldwide, which is distributing the upcoming "Two Jakes, with Danny Huston, Jack Huston and Sienna Miller. In addition to its development slate, TriCoast funds film packages as well as films in post-production along with completed films. Mark Schnug is an Austin-based screenwriter.

Carlos Ramos Jr. found the feature thriller "Kill Katie Malone" by Mark Onspaugh on InkTip, produced and directed it with Dean Cain and Stephen Colletti, signed with American World Pictures as the sales rep, and we are now pleased to announce that the completed feature film will be airing this week on The Movie Channel and Showtime. Carlos, whom the Hollywood Examiner called "wildly motivated and all out revolutionary," is a graduate of the prestigious ABC/Disney Producers' Program, and recently directed the web series "Ninety," which he adapted from the popular graphic novel of the same name. MWCC is a non-profit studio dedicated to developing local talent and providing resources to expand South Florida's professional independent film industry. Sacha recently directed the feature "Decomposing Tony Maslow" and produced the horror feature "Reservation." MWCC has executive produced two features and is currently co-producing a microbudget drama in Miami. This is Glenn Brown's first option through InkTip.

Gato Scatena and Jordan Rosner of S&R Films discovered "One Eighty" by Brian "B.D." Young, optioned the screenplay, partnered with director Richard Gabai of Check Entertainment, whom they also met through InkTip, and we are pleased to announce that the feature film is now going into production. Richard Gabai's credits include "InSight," (starring Sean Patrick Flannery, Natalie Zea, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Christopher Lloyd) for which InkTip hosted a red carpet release party recently. Gato Scatena was a consulting producer on "Kill Katie Malone," which starred Dean Cain and Masiela Lusha and which was also shot from a script found on InkTip. Both Scatena and Rosner are associate producers on Jerrol LeBaron's upcoming "Fools on the Hill." And Brian Young has a number of feature and MOW writing credits to his resume, with four more films going into production during the next four months alone.

Mark Martino bought the short script, "The Ride," from Warren Fast after discovering Warren on InkTip. Mark is a senior film student at SUNY Oswego in upstate NY and aspires to direct feature films. Originally, Mark wanted Warren Fast's short "Roadkill," but Warren had already sold it to another InkTip member. He offered Mark "The Ride" after viewing his demo reel. Mark liked "The Ride" even more, and they closed the deal the next day.

Barbie Castro Options "A Blind Eye" Nov 17, 2011
Barbie Castro with Concord Films LLC found "A Blind Eye" on InkTip and optioned it from Lloyd Wagner & Bradford Youngs. Barbie, who is starring in the feature, recently won three Best Actress awards on the festival circuit for the short film "Conduit." Principal photography is set to commence in the 1st quarter of 2012 with award-winning Alyn Darnay as director. Bradford Youngs met Lloyd Wagner through InkTip, and this is their third option through InkTip in the last month.
Benderspink Signs Tribble & Wingo Nov 17, 2011
Benderspink discovered writing partners Kipp Tribble and Derik Wingo through InkTip. This took place when a producer with a first look deal at Sony discovered their script "The Heist Before Christmas" on the site and referred it over to James Engle at Benderspink, who signed them as clients. Tribble and Wingo's credits include "Coffin" with Kevin Sorbo, Bruce Davison and Sunny Doench, which they wrote, directed and starred in. Coffin had a limited theatrical release in October and will be released on DVD later this year in the US through Artist View Entertainment.
Maurice Davis Options "Turnaround" Nov 10, 2011
Independent producer Maurice Davis found "Turnaround" on InkTip and optioned it from writers Beverly Gandara and John Han. "Turnaround" is based on John Han's experience using ancestral values and discipline instead of television and drugs to raise his stepson with ADD into a successful, world class jazz musician. Maurice Davis is repped by Jay Kennoff of Kennoff and Machtinger and has been able to get his projects into the hands of studio execs and major agencies with Jay's referrals and backing. A known denizen of the Austin, TX film community, Guzman's credits include "2:22" (starring Val Kilmer) and the festival fave "Desdemona: A Love Story." Joseph Barmettler with New Integrity Films discovered the pilot and bible for "The Chaser" through InkTip and entered into a shopping agreement with writer/creator Bobby Salomon to take it to the networks. The Chaser is a one hour drama series based on the memoirs of one of California's most notorious personal injury lawyers. Barmettler, a producer whose credits include "Beach Kings" (MGM/Fox Home Entertainment) and the 2007 cult "Alien Secrets" (Warner Home Entertainment) got his start writing, producing and directing episodic television. Bobby Salomon has written and directed two TV pilots before, and his resume includes a number of studio-level screenwriting hires, but this is his first success through InkTip.

Annette Van Duren of Van Duren Agency signed Alfred Clethen as a client after finding him through InkTip. Al, a San Francisco comedy writer and standup comic, shared the stage with names like Robin Williams, Ellen Degeneres and Dana Carvey. He worked with Will Smith on "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" as a warm-up act. He's also written for Jay Leno, Robin Williams and the Wayans Brothers, including a position as head writer on "The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show," which aired on Fox.

Zane was looking for a limited-location horror script for a director and fell in love with this creepy tale set in a nursing home. John met Michael at the InkTip Pitch & Networking Summit in July and hired him to adapt the feature script "The Waterman," a tale set in the world of surfing, into a novel to be published by Montecito Press. This latest one has turned into more of a partnership however, with writer Kate Queen coming on board as a co-producer alongside Rosner, his partner, Gato Scatena, and EP Wendy Kram (producer of "Mad Money" with Diane Keaton, Katie Holmes and Queen Latifah). Kate Queen is a stand up comic turned writer with a published novel under her belt and a feature comedy film in production with National Lampoon.

Director/ Producer Zachary Lindsey has bought the short script "The Clean Up Crew" from writer Darren J. Seeley after discovering it on InkTip. Zachary's most recent short film took 1st Place in a 48 Hours style film festival. "The Clean Up Crew" will begin filming in Los Angeles in the coming months. Although Darren has optioned shorts recently, this is Darren's first sale on InkTip.
